Supply Chain Manager, Field Intelligence – Amgen – Thousand Oaks, CA, USA

Global Product Security team focuses on patient safety through the prevention, detection, and response for suspect medicine events. The function advances product security features, warehouse and cargo protection, field surveillance, and serialized product traceability across Amgen and our partners. The team also maintains visibility and drives compliance with regulations pertaining to suspect medicines.
The role of Supply Chain Manager will oversee the intelligence gathering, real-time field surveillance, traceable product visibility, and overall detection of product security risks globally.
Detect and escalate recurring product security trends, such as recurrence of issues in specific lanes/city/partners/categories/products
Provide investigation support by leveraging the serialized product traceability database for product triangulation/segmentation
Perform retroactive/predictive analysis enabled by tying serialized product movements to other production and logistics attributes (e.g. sold to/return from, cold chain, field consumption)
Partner with Global Security to detect/characterize suspect product offerings and report accordingly
Advance and manage the classification of high/med/low product security risks based on products/regions/countries/partners profiles
Drive the use of serialized product traceability trending capabilities to support product security mitigation and internal/external inventory visibility
Own analytical dashboard, intelligence reports, and related functional metrics
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree & 2 years of manufacturing or supply chain experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree & 4 years of manufacturing or supply chain experience
OR
Associate’s degree & 10 years of manufacturing or supply chain experience
OR
High school diploma / GED & 12 years manufacturing or supply chain experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering, business management or life science
Ability to work with data analytic tools, such as Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI
Significant experience in regulated manufacturing or supply chain setting
Understanding of serialized product traceability and general concepts of illegitimate medicines
Demonstrated ability to effectively engage diverse, global stakeholder groups and manage projects with multiple, cross-functional deliverables
Proven communication and facilitation skills
Demonstrated strong analytical skills, business acumen and risk management
Demonstrated experience in a multinational enterprise
Demonstrated ability to execute in a high performing environment with occasional supervision
Proficient in breaking down complex issues into simple blocks for presentation to executive management, and enabling prompt decision making
