The purpose of this role is to assist the Supply Chain Integrity Manager in embedding temperature control standards and best practice across the GMS network and to assist supply chain staff in addressing temperature deviations, as well as providing key interface for other related Claims & Complaints Activities. Regulatory changes in many markets have resulted in greater compliance scrutiny while GMS has recognised increasing temperature deviations and increasing product loss.
Job Purpose
Assist the Supply Chain Integrity Manager in accomplishing the following:
1. Management of GSK’s Goods in Transit Global Claims and Complaints Process which covers the entire range from process design, the operational aspects of handling claims/complaints and making decisions on settlements offered by LSP’s and leading continuous improvement initiatives to reduce the risk exposure to the organization.
2. Embed temperature control standards and best practice across the GMS Supply Chain (Cx and Rx)
3. Increase GMS competency on temperature control – education and training
4. Deliver performance reporting on temperature management within the GMS Supply Chain
5. Reduce amount of temp excursions (cost and incidences)
6. Applicant will have a vital role in influencing key stakeholders and managing customer relationships effectively
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Supply Chain Integrity Manager in accomplishing the following:
• Manage daily Claims and Complaints activities as received from internal & 3rd Party Customers/Sites
• Work collaboratively with a cross-functional group of representatives from GSK, LSP’s and Marine insurance, to progress outstanding claims & complaints, establish and enforce strict timescales for issue resolution. Implement appropriate escalation process as necessary.
• Develop and manage the Temperature Control service with Move Product.
• Evaluate and recommend temperature control standards in the areas of air, ocean and road freight.
• Develop and implement processes to evaluate solution providers, deploy agreed solutions and measure performance.
• Creation and up-version of Standard Operating Procedures as required, in alignment with Global Logistics Policies and Procedures
• Analyzing and Implementing change to distribution processes across the Supply Chain, which include the impact on LSP’s, Sites and Customers.
• Educate and train GMS Supply Chain staff globally on adoption, implementation and measurement of temperature control & best practices as identified through trending analysis activities.
• Provide benchmarking services to evaluate GSKs capability/performance against that of peers, generics and other industries.
• Oversee performance management for temperature control; manage both lead and lag indicators and the appropriate escalation routes.
• Build appropriate relationships with supply chain entities and drive / influence required changes to reduce temperature related deviations
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to LSP requirements and capability assessments; Define related business requirements
• Participate with Level 2 audits – Move Product Audit Service and Supply Chain Logistics – as required
