Leading international and domestic logistics provider has a key opportunity for a National Account Manager to sell international transportation solutions to the Food/Beverage/ Perishable, and Pharma industries. This company also works with General and Dry Cargo shippers that do not require a Cold Chain/Temperature controlled solutions. Our client focusing on selling the entire end-to-end shipping solution from picking up cargo, packaging, delivery to Air, Ocean, Truck, or Rail Carrier, and delivery direct to ultimate consignee. . Core responsibility will be to understand and translate the needs of a Strategic Customers so that services fulfill or exceed expectations. Key is to develop and enhance long-lasting, profitable and rewarding business partners.
Purpose of the position:
The National Account Sales Manager is responsible for a geographic territory. This is a hunter role, but also acts as the lead in territory for a set number of strategic customers.
Main Responsibilities / Activities:
Responsible to know the decision and organizational layer of the Strategic Customer management with the executive management and Practice leads
Collaborate with Strategic team leads to create and manage the network of sales resources around the given Strategic Customer(s)
Working with all layers of the sales organization, determine the required resources within to capitalize on value creation opportunities
Responsible as the “primary” lead for the management of the Strategic Customer Business Plan
Set, meet, and exceed business revenue goals agreed upon with sales team
Act as the single point for the selling of all services and solutions across all business fields
Drive the RFQ response for their assigned Strategic Customer(s), either as the lead, or make sure regional support is assigned to drive offered business opportunity.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key contacts within customer organizations to understand opportunities
Maintain close communications within customer and operations to assure understanding of customer expectations relative to operational solutions, timeline, costs, and results.
