We are seeking Managers with a Distribution focus for our Supply Chain team at the Oceanside Biologics Development and Production facility.
Specific Responsibilities and Skills:
This is an advanced position requiring significant expertise/specialization in area of work, including but not limited to materials management, global distribution and cold chain.
Manages site MRO program and inventory.
Manages raw material sampling timelines from sample to release
Responsible for packaging qualification including conditioning, managing supply, engineering collaboration and coordination on packaging solutions, etc.
Manages distribution activities for biologics including carrier management, selection, shipping requirement definition, etc.
Responsible for knowing and adhering to regulatory requirements such as GDP, IATA, DOT, etc.
Manages transportation lane definition, qualification and monitoring for Biologics programs.
Participates on global transportation teams
Manages operations and may manage personnel, including organizing and prioritizing daily tasks, performing training, and contributing to performance reviews.
Demonstrates problems solving and negotiation skills as a subject matter expert across multiple areas. Determines corrective action when necessary and with consideration of the long-term impact of decisions.
Promotes and demonstrates continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Works on problems that are moderately complex to complex in scope, where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors, considerable judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations on solutions.
Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Interfaces with external vendors, suppliers and contract manufacturers to address and resolve more complex product/process performance issues. May participate in proposal review, price negotiation, supplier selection and overall supplier relationship management.
Oversees ERP processing in manufacturing and inventory modules.
May assist in monitoring and managing supplier performance.
May lead a special project team within the unit/function.
Participates in cross-functional project management activities.
Performance and task management may be required.
