Manages all activities of the Global Supply Department including BIVI global affiliate and third party manufacturing export order management and operations, import processing, international transportation, global cold chain management, and international product launch support.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the activities of the Global Supply department related to processing of all BIVI export and import transactions.
In conjunction with the BI Corporate SCM Group, evaluates, selects, and assists with development and evaluation of Service Agreements for Global Freight Forwarding services on the basis of competitive rate bids and services provided.
Establishes strategic and tactical working relationships with selected freight forwarders in support of all BIVI export and import requirements including analyzing transportation mode options, identifying opportunities to reduce freight costs, and development of origin/ destination based routing options.
Manages compliance with established cold chain corporate procedures including development of strategies and processes for assigning temperature profiles, systematic maintenance of product master data and temperature data analysis, and resolving excursions with Quality Assurance and identifying and implementing new cold chain solutions to mitigate risk.
Acts as primary liaison between Global Supply Department and Operations Planning, Inventory Control, Master Data Management, Order Management, and Site Warehousing and Distribution warehouse personnel to communicate export order prioritization and Global Supply requirements to meet commercial and miscellaneous shipment order needs.
Responsible for tracking and reporting Global Supply KPI dashboards with regards to PSL, cold chain performance, commercial and miscellaneous export order management, and transportation spend.
Responsible for maintaining adequate knowledge of all international and US logistics requirements and ensuring direct reports are adequately cross-trained on compliance and transportation procedures.
Performs all company business in accordance with all applicable regulations (e.g., EEO, BIS, CBP, FDA, etc.) and company policies and procedures. Reports noted, suspected or observed violations to management with remedial and mitigated corrective action recommendations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited institution, in Operations Management, Business Administration or related field and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in operations import/export management in a manufacturing environment including international shipping, terms of payment and export documentation knowledge.
Experience must be inclusive of a minimum four (4) years leading people and/or projects and working in CGMP and highly government regulated environment.
International experience required
Strong understanding of ERP systems or related applications.
Excellent supervisory, verbal and written communication, coaching and teamwork skills. Demonstrated leadership ability and aptitude to train and utilize workers in a multi-faceted fast paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience working with international clientele while recognizing diversity and an ability to be flexible working with a variety of cultures to obtain solutions.
Position is responsible to manage and Coordinate all commercial, third-party, and miscellaneous export orders accounting for ~$100 Million in gross sales to the BIVI Division.
Additionally, required to continuously investigate operational improvement opportunities related to “Cold Chain Management”, and “Global Transportation Logistics”.
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities:
General awareness of US Export Administration Regulations and export licensing requirements, and domestic and international hazardous materials shipping regulations including U.S. DOT (49 CFR), International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG), and International Air Transport Association (IATA).
