Cold Chain Technology Manager – Marken/UPS – NC, USA

The Cold Chain Technology Manager will enhance and support the innovative efforts of the Technical Operations group by providing solution expertise & focused project implementation planning. Will provide subject matter expertise in the areas of temperature-controlled shipping solutions in the key areas of:
- Project management – Develop and execute project plans and manage project scope, goals and deliverables
- Cold Chain management and expertise – Support the development, approval, and execution of innovative temperature-controlled solutions
- Innovation and Operational Excellence – Work with the Cold Chain Team to manage the process providing timely and pertinent information for solution recommendations and implementation
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute project plans and manage appropriately to meet changing needs and requirements of Cold Chain
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support the business in collaboration with the Cold Chain Team and stakeholders
- Effectively communicate project expectations and updates to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Support the development, approval, and execution of innovative temperature-controlled solutions to support Marken’s lead status in Healthcare Logistics
- Coordination with the “Cold Chain Team” with Procurement and Quality
- Provide timely and pertinent information for solutions recommendations and decisions
- Administrative and Technical subject matter expertise on above
- Research and Support to Director for new innovations
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of supply chain / cold chain logistics / packaging experience in the healthcare / pharma industry
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field is desired
- Excellent working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain and logistics services at the operational level in the clinical trial and / or commercial healthcare sector
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail / accuracy – able to communicate throughout the organization hierarchy from executive level to operational level
- Proven project management skills related to temperature-controlled solutions and logistics including technical writing
- Working knowledge of GMP and GDP regulations, facilities, and environments
- Professional Certification in a related filed (Project Management, GDP, Lean) is a plus
