External Posting Title Associate Director, North America Commercial Logistics Job Description Leads a team of (6-8) logistics and customer service professionals with the focus on business continuity, uninterrupted efficient drug supply, operational excellence, quality, financial and trade compliance and delivering customer service. Challenging and highly visible role that oversees the flow of goods, services and information throughout the commercial supply chain including intra-company movement, distribution and customer service function.
Establishes and maintains distribution, transportation and warehouse budgetary goals (2014 budget $ 10M). In collaboration with the Sourcing department, leads contract and pricing negotiations with the international central warehouse and transport providers to reach effective costing structure whilst maintaining quality, the desired level of customer service and an OTIF > 99,5%. Oversees the financial month-end reconciliation process and ensures Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for all finance related activities.
Develops and sustains a high performing organization, ensuring capacity and scalability, building the capability for Supply Chain Excellence. Manages the development and productivity of the team members to ensure goal alignment, training, professional development and project requirements are met. Coach and mentors individuals and provides career development.
Acts as a leader and partner to establish a Supply Chain Center of Excellence for the Logistics team. Identifies and drives continuous improvement to support the dynamic and growing business environment. Encourages global alignment across logistics functions. Develops, maintains and optimizes global processes, procedures, metrics and reporting capabilities necessary to manage the E2E flow of goods and information effectively and efficiently.
This position is able to deal with high levels of ambiguity, anticipates potential risks and develops corresponding contingency plans Builds relationships and works closely with cross functional stakeholders (examples: Commercial, Finance, Demand and Supply Planning, Contract Manufacturing, Quality) and external partners to ensure alignment and business optimization.
