Job Summary:
Manage and drive successful implementation of strategies, projects and tactics as assigned across the GSD Supply Chain / Distribution project portfolio. Make strategic and tactical decisions that impact the successful execution of organizational strategies. This individual is responsible for providing value added contributions to a multitude of projects that affect the GSD organization. It is extremely necessary for the job to act as a liaison and network between all levels of management, across multiple organizations/functions, both domestic and foreign, for assigned projects with in the GSD Supply Chain / Distribution portfolio.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather requirements, ascertain cross systems impacts, perform analysis, functional design, and develops a plan of action in conjunction with appropriate business partners to meet business objectives.
Ability to manage capital, process improvement, systems projects – potentially multiple projects at a time to support distribution network, across geographic areas within North America
Oversight for large projects with varying levels of complexity, effectively communicates, sets and manages project expectations
Effectively communicate risk / opportunities / priorities
Manage complex vendor relationships (including third-party services) in support of Distribution Projects. Vendor management includes developing work specifications (i.e. RFP), supervision, quality assurance of services and end products and involvement in the renewal of service agreements to ensure ongoing support.
Manage Supply Chain project and operational activities required to support tactical and strategic business objectives. Takes appropriate action to prevent delays and/or cost overruns.
Meet regularly with stakeholders across the GSD, to ensure ongoing understanding of status, plans and issues regarding current or planned projects.
Analyze budget and utilize internal systems as required (NEXTS etc) – prepare project budgets, analyze ROI, prepare and deliver executive presentations
Knowledgeable of warehouse systems: SAP, TMS and operational practices, working knowledge of product serialization, working knowledge of cold chain distribution and transportation
Effectively manage project budgets and schedule to deliver a high quality, on time and on budget output, while managing resources, risks, contracts and external/internal communication
Maintain strong documentation to support project throughout all phases
Ensure that related projects are executed safely, on time and within Budget estimates
Manage the projects to ensure expectations, and performance meets or exceeds desired outcomes
Expected to communicate openly with upper management and escalate issues when appropriate
Time management and teamwork skills

Demonstrate management of projects with progressive levels of complexity
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
3-5 years work experience:
3+ years Project Management experience
3+ years pharmaceutical / manufacturing / operations or related experience
GMP understanding and knowledge of pharmaceutical procedures relative to warehousing and distribution
